It's the start of summer........

OK, this weekend is the kick off of summer, but we're already thinking ahead to the start of Fall with the new Fall issue of Noro Magazine!

This is a brand new magazine featuring hats, sweaters, fingerless gloves, an awesome entrelac blanket, some great knits for guys, and more!

Quite a few of these patterns would work great for the spinner's too - they'll work great with handspun yarns.

We're Loving ChiaoGoo Red Lace Needles!

We're loving the ChiaoGoo Red Lace Circular Needles so much that we've now added the 60" lengths to our inventory!

We carry 16", 24", 32", 40" and now the 60" Lengths!

If you haven't tried these needles yet, you owe it to yourself to grab a set for your next project.  They're pretty inexpensive, the cords are GREAT, the joins are nice and smooth and they have nice tips.

Overall, a WIN in my book!

Make your knitting POP!

Today's new arrival has to do with making your knitting POP!

To start with, we have a brand new book in from Interweave Press called Pop Knitting.  Learn how to make your knitted designs pop with innovative three-dimensional stitch techniques by using a variety of simple stitch manipulations.  The colors are bright and eye-catching and BOLD!

To help make your knitting 'pop', we have the latest colorways in from Classic Elite in their Liberty Wool Print!

First up is called Leaf & Bumble Bee.
The next one is nice and bright and is called Sonic Lavendar.
Each month, they also offer free patterns to go with this yarn and this one flows quite nicely into our "POP Knitting" theme -
How's that for some bright, fun, textured pillows!

Sock Yarn - You know it doesn't count, right?

We have a saying around the shop (and I'm sure many other yarn shops and sock knitters do too) that sock yarn doesn't count as stash.  There's just something about the lure of the sock yarn that makes it so hard to resist picking up just one more skein, right?  Plus, this time of year, socks are great projects to work on - very portable and small, and easy to pick up and put down, so great for your travel knitting project.

And, as luck would have it, we have a brand new sock yarn in from Opal -
This one is Opal Bicolor.  It's a fun, self patterning sock yarn, so great to use for a plain vanilla sock.  Let the yarn do all the impressive work for you.

I'll be back in the next day or so with a few more new yarns that have arrived!
