Are We Warped?

Are we warped at Knitter's Palette? Why, YES, we are!

Our Rigid Heddle Weaving class students are busy warping their Cricket Looms.

This class is currently in progress, but we will be running another session. Shoot me an email at pam@knitterspalette.com to be placed on our call list when we get the next session scheduled.

Red Lace Circs!

We've had the ChiaoGoo Red Lace Circular Needles in the shop for a while now in the 24", 32" and 40" sizes and the feedback on these needles has been great!

We have now added the 16" ChiaoGoo Red Lace Circulars to our inventory!

40% OFF!

With all of the new yarns coming into the shop for Fall/Winter, we're struggling to make room for it all.

I'm adding yarns and books to our clearance section almost daily and that area is getting FULL! With that said, all of the items in the Clearance Section are 40% OFF through the end of the month!

Spin In Public Day - Tomorrow!

World Wide Spin In Public Day is Tomorrow, Sept. 17th!

Since I know we have quite a few spinners that frequent the shop, I thought it would be fun to have a little spinning get-together here at the shop tomorrow. We've been discussing this in our Ravelry thread, but in case you aren't a member of Ravelry or haven't joined our group, I thought I would post this here too!

Join us tomorrow starting at noon (until whenever????) to spin in public! If the weather is nice, we'll make use of our sidewalk right outside the shop, otherwise we'll set up the wheels in the front section of the shop. I'll be using the new Schacht Sidekick wheel so anyone that wants to "give it a spin" is more then welcome to.

(Of course, knitters, crocheters and weavers are welcome too!)
And since we're talking about spinning, we just received an order from Crown Mountain Farms in 8 oz. bundles of superwash merino. I've been a huge fan of Crown Mountain Farms for quite awhile and I'm very excited to have this fiber in the shop!

Shop KAL

Since everyone had so much fun with our last KAL (Westknit Mystery Shawl), we've decided to keep the fun going with another one!

This time we're going to knit a cardigan called Dark and Stormy! Our cast-on party for the KAL will be this Thursday, Sept. 15th at the shop starting at 5 and going until we close at 8. (Of course, if you want to join along on the KAL but can't be there on Thursday, no worries! We have a good thread going in our Ravelry group too, so you can join in there!)

We'll also be finishing up our Westknits KAL at the same time, so if you knit the shawl, come on in to show it off! If the shawl is still on the needles, come in anyway and show off your progress.

Box after box, after box, after box........

It's that time of year again! Knitting Season = fresh, new inventory coming into the shop!

If you had been in lately, you probably noticed that our Wall of Malabrigo was looking a little sad. I'm happy to be able to say that it's looking pretty good again!

We received a nice sized order late last week which included some Malabrigo Worsted, Rios, a little Twist, lots of Rasta, some Sock and Lace!

Another box that I managed to work through today has a nice restock of Spud and Chloe Fine, but it also had Spud and Chloe Sweater!

(For our online customers, it's going to be a week or so before I get the photos posted in the online section. I'm without my digital camera which is out for repairs right now so I'm working off of photos from the good old iPhone. )

Back to the boxes I go! There's a few more to work through including one that has a new-to-us DK weight yarn that has nice saturated colors, TONS of colorways to pick from, a great price and machine washable to-boot!

The shop will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5th for the Labor Day Holiday.

We'll be open our regular summer hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Just a note, due to the holiday weekend, we will not be holding SP-IT Nite this Friday. We'll still be at the shop until 4 pm though, if you want to attend the afternoon version!
