We have a few events coming up this weekend!

First up, on Sunday, June 5th, please join us as we welcome Catherine Friend, author of Sheepish: Two Women, Fifty Sheep & Enough Wool to Save the Planet to the shop for a book signing!

It’s been fifteen years since Catherine Friend left her quiet, urban existence and became the proud (if not slightly terrified) owner of two ducks, four goats, fifty sheep, and several acres of Minnesota Farmland. Now, caught in a chronic love/hate relationship with her flock, Friend reevaluates life on the farm in discovers that her sheep - and sheep around the world - may be much more important than anyone gives them credit for.

Catherine will be here at the shop from 2 - 3 pm, Sunday, June 5th. She'll have a reading, a Q & A session and will be signing her books, Hit By A Farm and Sheepish, which will be available at the shop. We'll also have refreshments for everyone.

The second event is the return of SP-IT Nite on Friday, June 3rd. Join us anytime between the hours of 2 - 8 pm for some knitting, spinning, weaving, crochet, good company and good conversation!

(As a side note, this might be the only SP-IT Nite of the summer. July will fall on a holiday weekend and it looks like I will be out of town for August's SP-IT.)

Remember there is no fee for any of our events at the shop!

Daily Dose Of Fiber!

One of the things about the upcoming warmer weather (it is coming, right????) is that it makes me itch to get back to spinning. I'm not sure if it is because of longer days and better lighting, but I always feel like getting back to the spinning wheel in the spring.

I'm very happy to say that we received an order today from Abstract Fiber!

We have hand-dyed Superwash Merino, Superwash BFL, Polwarth and some Alpaca/Silk fibers - beautiful, rich, saturated colors!

Here's just a partial look at the spinning fibers that we have right now!

Have you had your daily dose of fiber today????

Definitely One of My Favs!

Liberty Wool from Classic Elite is definitely one of my favorite yarns. Let's see, I've made several the Molly Scarves from it, the Elizabeth Sweater and now a quick-knit baby sweater!

Did you know that Classic Elite introduces two new colorways each month? The new colorways for May are in and they are stunning!

Next time you are in ask us about the patterns available for this yarn including this baby sweater - Super quick, top down and oh-so-easy (and free w/yarn purchase)!

No May SP-IT Nite

I just wanted to give everyone a head's up on this -

Due to a scheduling conflict, there will not be a SP-IT Nite in May.
