Wow - the holidays are almost here! Just a few more days to get everything done. I've gotten a reprieve on some of my projects since one of my family's gatherings will take place on New Year's Day so those few projects are on the back-burner for a few days.
Here's one last gift idea for the knitter on your list (or for you to ask from your loved ones) - GIFT CARDS! They are available in any dollar amount and make the perfect gift! And we're open today (Monday) from Noon - 8 pm and Tuesday from 10 am - 6 pm so come on in and pick one up!
Just a reminder - we are CLOSED on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will be closing on New Year's eve at 3:00 pm and will be closed on New Year's Day.
Open SP-ITting is still happening on Friday, December 26th from 2 - 5 pm. If you have the afternoon free, why not join us for spinning and knitting.

New from Namaste -

Buddy Cases from Namaste. They are the essential accessory for your little stuff - from scissors, stitch markers, cable needles, etc. The Buddy Case features hidden magnetized interior walls to keep your metal items in place and a removable interior divider.
Priced great too!
For all you sock knitters.......
A great new book just came out from Interweave Press - Knitting Socks with Handpainted Yarn. If you are a fan of sock knitting and a fan of handpainted sock yarn, this book is for you. It features 21 fabulous sock patterns from some of the top sock designers that take advantage of the somewhat quirky characteristics of handpainted yarns.
This would make a great gift for the sock knitter on your list - why not team it up with a great skein of sock yarn?

Gifts for Knitters #1
How about an adorable notions bag? We just unpacked an order of these cute sheep notions bags. They come in black, white or gray, have a nice zippered opening and measure approx. 8-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches. A great little case for holding stitch markers, row counters, tape measures and all those little necessary knitting items that we carry around with us.

Spiralucious anyone?
A week or so back, we started carrying some of Anne Hanson's Knitspot patterns. We've got several of her shawls, scarves, hats and fingerless gloves patterns. In our first order, the Spiralucious neckwarmer pattern BLEW out the door. I waited a few days to reorder because I knew she was working on some matching fingerless gloves to go along with the neckwarmer.

I'm happy to announce that we are now stocked with BOTH of the Spiralucious patterns - the neckwarmer and the mitts. Both work up great with a nice fingering weight yarn - the Malabrigo Sock yarn would be great for these as well as the Hand Maiden Casbah. Really though, any fingering weight yarn will be great as it is such a beautiful design. (I've got these on my Christmas knitting list for my daughters - shhhh.....don't let them know!)
